Oništiti se

The screening of the film ‘Oništiti se’ and the lecture by Božidar Manidić will be held on 22 November at 8.22 p.m. in the District, at the Biro.

‘Oništiti se’ film is an original, debut work of two young artists, Jelena and Nikola Stojanović. The film covers the artistic and ecological work of Božidar Mandić and the Family of Clear Streams, who have been living in the forest on Mount Rudnik for 46 years. Mandić is one of the avant-garde artists who have been combining avant-garde art with a return to nature for half a century. He is one of the European pioneers of ecological thought and action. In this film, his long-term life and artistic work are presented through authentic shots, the basic meaning of which is to protect and preserve the planet and the individual. The word ‘oništiti se’ is a neologism that speaks of the fact that when man and civilization are in crisis, we should surround ourselves with zero because zero is our home.

The screening and the lecture will be held as part of the project ‘Invisible Art: Intoxicating Youth of Modernism’ which is being implemented during the Other? Europe programme arch, representing the Novi Sad neo-avant-garde.
