Opening Concert No. 1 / Chamber Music Festival
The first concert within the Chamber Music Festival will be held on 10 September at the Serbian Reading Room in Irig, as part of the Kaleidoscope of Culture Performing Arts Week.
Chamber Music Festival is a unique project and an important form of presentation and performance of classical music, which will celebrate its fifth year running in 2022. The underlying idea of the project is to familiarise the general public with classical music, which will be presented in a slightly different way, in cooperation with DJ Aleksandar Korom from Novi Sad.
The project was conceived as a cycle of three concerts at the Chamber Music Festival. Opening Concert No. 1 is the first of two additional concerts that will be held on stages outside of Novi Sad and will be an overture to the Chamber Music Festival in Novi Sad. The collaboration with the Novi Sad Wind Quintet, as one of the most present and successful Novi Sad ensembles, with contemporary composers, is very significant.
A member of the Novi Sad Wind Quintet, bassoonist Goran Marinković, who is also a graduated composer, will write a composition that will be premiered at these three concerts. The composition written for a wind quintet and a DJ is a project that has not appeared on the Novi Sad cultural scene before and is therefore unique.
