Rumena Bužarovska / Migration of Souls – Novi Sad Through Literature
Famous regional writer Rumena Bužarovska comes to the contemporary literature pavilion the ‘Migration of Souls – Novi Sad Through Literature’ in the Master Hall of the Novi Sad Fair on 3 March at 6 p.m. After the official programme, the author will sign her books at the Zenit publishing house booth.
Rumena Bužarovska, a Macedonian writer and critic, was born in Skopje in 1981. She was introduced to literature in her childhood when she was living in the USA, where she learned about modern and contemporary American literature which has influenced her writing style. So far, she has published collections of stories: Scribbles (2007), Eight (2020), My Husband (2014) and I’m Not Going Anywhere (2018). The stories were translated into 6 languages, and she is considered one of the ten most interesting young European writers. She is currently teaching American literature at the Faculty of Philosophy, the University of Skopje.
The ‘Migration of Souls – Novi Sad Through Literature’ exhibition celebrates a book as the object of civilisation of culture. During the ‘Migration of Souls – Novi Sad Through Literature’ exhibition in the Master Hall of the Novi Sad Fair, we will host other regional contemporary writers such as Milica Vučković, Miljenko Jergović, Damir Karakaš, Kristian Novak and Darko Cvijetić.
