Saz in Sarajevo

The lecture called ‘Saz in Sarajevo’ by Damir Imamović will be held at the Youth Theatre on Saturday, 12 November, at 5 p.m.

Prominent musician and researcher in the field of sevdalinka, Damir Imamović (B&H), will present his new researches regarding the traditional instrument called saz, its role in society and sevdah. Studying the history of music in the city of Sarajevo and the position of saz in it, Damir came to a series of interesting information and insights that will be the basis for his new book, which he is currently working on.

The lecture will be held during the Pocket Globe festival, which takes place as part of the Other? Europe programme arch.
