TBF / District of Peace
The band TBF will perform in the Creative District on 23 June at 10.30 p.m. as part of the Fortress of Peace programme arch.
During the five days of talks on reconciliation, the future of Europe and other current social and political issues, we will be treated to performances by three bands which deal with current social and political topics with their activist approach. After the performance of TBF, we will listen to the bands Helem Nejse on 24 June, Zoster on 25 June and Obojeni program on 27 June in the District of Peace.
The Beat Fleet or TBF for short is an ensemble formed in 1990 in Split. The group started as a standard hip-hop/trip-hop band to further develop their own musical expression. They are recognizable by their socially engaged lyrics, videos that are always conceived as short films, and original performances. TBF song lyrics have strong social overtones. They criticise political corruption, and even corrupt social values (such as the domination of degenerate material interests with intolerance of everything that is different, and the eradication of urban Mediterranean culture).
Since its inception, the band has imposed a unique combination of rap and hip-hop with rock, funk, soul, and reggae sounds. So far, they have released 7 studio albums.
