The exhibition ‘Duration/Durée’

The exhibition Duration/Durée will open in the District on Thursday, March 7th at 7pm at Atelier 61 and at 8pm at the Institut Française and will be on view until March 27th.

After the Paris premiere of last summer at the Cultural Center of Serbia, in the month of Francophonie, in front of culture lovers and lovers of contemporary art, there will be selected works of established street art artists in our town – Aleksandar Bunčić, Jovan Shpira Obradović and Uroš Štrboja. Realized as a result of cooperation between the institutional (French Institute in Novi Sad, Atelier 61) and the independent scene (NGOs and independent artists), Duration is this year’s first exhibition selected by the A61 Art Council at the Competition for the 2024 exhibition year.

As part of the Duration exhibition, in a gallery context, the audience will be able to view the street art works of three authors, who are also active in the field of design, illustration, music production, and pedagogical work. The points of connection between Bunčić, Obradović and Štrboja are, among other things, collaboration and art creation activities in a public context – from classic graffiti and tags, paste up stickers, through sophisticated illustrative street art to 3D modeling of augmented reality installations and sculptures. The works of three artists, in two exhibition spaces, only 50 meters from each other, tied in a street art bow, are a teaser for most fans of contemporary artistic practices.

The event is finished.
