The Great Migration of Archivists – Državni posao
The team of ‘Državni posao’ (Government Job) deals with the problem of migration in the region in a humorous way in the play ‘The Great Migration of Archivists’. The premiere performance of this play will be within the Migrations programme arch in the cultural and educational institution Cultural Centre ‘Mladost’, Futog, on 29 March at 8 p.m. Tickets purchased for 29 March, when the premiere was previously scheduled, are valid for the new date of the premiere performance, 8 April. The second performance of the play is scheduled for April 9.In this theatrical play, we observe the characters well-known to the Serbian public, Čvarkov, Torbica and Boškić, who are forcibly impelled from their natural environment (office) to a relocated department – a warehouse in a small town on Fruška Gora.
Our heroes find themselves in a new unknown environment, in a warehouse where they are forced to live, where the conditions for three people to stay are not met, while at the same time they cannot avoid their work obligations because they are forced to work to get permission to return to the ‘home office’.
The situation is further complicated by the changing relationship between the characters, entering new conflicts over who came to the new environment first and who, thus, exercises greater rights in the fight for basic existential conditions such as roof, bed, food, heating, hygiene products, movement etc.
The cast and screenwriters are Dejan Ćirjaković, a trained musician; Dimitrije Banjac, a technology engineer and Nikola Škorić, a history professor. The director of the play is Petar Jovanović.
