The Marriage of Figaro (Le Nozze di Figaro)

The comic opera in four acts The Marriage of Figaro (Le Nozze di Figaro) by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart will be performed on June 12 on the main stage of the Serbian National Theatre, starting at 7 PM.

Tickets are available at the theatre’s box office.

Director Aleksandar Nikolić emphasizes: “At the very heart of The Marriage of Figaro, behind the comic game of deceit and intrigue, lies a fundamental question of power and human nature. Count Almaviva is the prototype of a narcissistic master – a man who knows no limits to his desires and uses his social position solely as a tool of domination. When the status of the highest belongs to the morally lowest, society becomes a ground for abuse, and honesty becomes not only a burden, but also an obstacle to survival.”
