Keni Nije Mrtav is a powerful guitar trio that skillfully combines modern elements of music with a guitar sound. He will perform on the main street in the District from 10 p.m. At the beginning of November, the band’s debut album, Ajmo Da Plešemo was released, which was followed by a sold-out concert in the Amerikana hall of the Belgrade’s Dom Omladine on 23 December. Before the release of the debut album, Keni embarked on a never-ending tour, playing over 50 concerts in a season. The band has gained a reputation as one of the best indie rock, indie punk live performers, with very dynamic and interesting, but also quality live performances. Keni Nije Mrtav has performed at many festivals and concerts in the last few years, but also implemented a number of events.
The concert is the result of cooperation with the Serbia Creates platform.
Lira Vega was formed in 1998 as part of the alternative theatre ensemble Pozorište Šešira. Initially a classic rock line-up, the band recorded their first album, Lira Vega, and released it in 2004 for the PGP RTS label. On the very next album, Sreća i Ljubav (Beopolis, 2008), the band presents itself as a trio and begins experimenting with synthesizers and rhythm machines. The third album Duhovi was presented to the public in 2015, and the band now consists of Zoja Borovčanin and Vladimir Đorđević. The new album Posledice Rada is made up of two parts, and the band also recorded a documentary film Duhovi iz Prošlosti which was premiered in CC Grad on 16 January 2019. Lira Vega will perform on Main Street in the District at 11:15 p.m.
Elizabete Balčus is a Latvian musician and performance artist who creates neo-psychedelic dream pop from surprising, collaged, genre juxtapositions that are both melodic and experimental. She works with a strong visual aesthetic that draws on contemporary surrealism, contemporary fashion and geometric images. She attended the Academy of Music in Latvia to study classical and jazz flute, as well as opera singing at Santa Cecilia Academy in Rome. Everything is allowed in her musical cosmos: mixing flute and voice, electro pop rhythms and playing vegetables as a synthesizer, leaving the listener in a blissful state of trance, somewhere between wakefulness and sleep. Live performances engage the audience with a psychedelic and theatrical atmosphere that is as confusing as it is enchanting. Elizabete Balchus will perform in front of the Warehouse facility from 10 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Srđan Žikić brings his selection of dance tracks with the greatest disco and funk tracks of the eighties, as well as all the biggest hits of the nineties. Srđan Žikić is that serious voice on the radio who wakes up with you in the morning programme, for more than 20 years. A radio man who had too much time and opportunity to listen to the radio sound libraries of several radio stations and to get to know different musical eras, especially the eighties, which he particularly loves because of the enormous creativity, design and sound. Srđan Žikić will perform in front of the Menza facility in the District from 10 p.m.
Don’t miss the great music program on 8 and 9 September.
