The Tamburitza Philharmonic Orchestra
The concert performed by The Tamburitza Philharmonic Orchestra, as part of Tamburitza Fest 2022, will take place on 21 August in Liberty Square. The performance of tamburitza orchestras from the region playing both classical and popular music in a tamburitza style comes within the The Danube Sea programme arch.
Members of The Tamburitza Philharmonic Orchestra selected 200 of the most eminent tamburitza performers from 11 countries (Serbia, Romania, Hungary, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Italy, Bulgaria, and North Macedonia).
The host conductor is Zoran Mulić, a long-time conductor of the Great Tamburitza Orchestra of RTV, which is one of only two professional tamburitza orchestras in the world. In the world of music, he is distinguished as an excellent artistic music composer, arranger, and orchestrator of the most complex written works for tamburitza orchestras.
Siniša Leopold is a long-time conductor of the HRT Tamburitza Orchestra, known as a composer of artistic and popular music, as well as an arranger of many written works for tamburitza orchestras.
