The Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra, Rita Kinka and Robert Lakatoš, maestro Aleksandar Marković / The Best of Novi Sad

The last of the three concerts performed by the Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra within the programme arch ‘Seobe’ will be held in the City Concert Hall on 17 February.

The orchestra will present itself together with two composers and representatives of some of the best artists of Novi Sad. Rita Kinka, a prominent pianist, has given over 800 recitals so far, and in addition to concerts, she works in the field of pedagogy at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad as a professor of piano. On this occasion, she will perform the Concert for piano and orchestra in F-sharp minor, Op. 20 by Alexander Scriabin and Concert for violin and orchestra no. 1 in F-sharp minor, Op. 14 by Henryk Wieniawski, a famous Polish violinist, pedagogue and composer, performed by Rebert Lakatoš, a violinist famous in Novi Sad. World-famous artists and critics often say that Lakatoš is one of the most promising violinists of his generation, which he proves with his success at numerous performances on the international music scene and first prizes at great international violin competitions.

The repertoire will also include ‘Balkanska fantazija’, a work by the famous Novi Sad composer Stevan Divjaković. In the end, the Vojvodina Symphony orchestra will perform The Poem of Ecstasy (Symphony no. 4) by Alexander Scriabin, one of the most successful works that emerged in the composer’s prolific period.

The orchestra will be conducted by maestro Aleksandar Marković, an artist with exceptional talent to turn the sound into the most sublime – music.
