Framed by a story about duration, the exhibition leads us on the path of the development of civilization, and culminates in the opening of Milutin Milanković’s code, revealing a secret woven into time itself. The author of the visual-artistic part of the exhibition is Dušan Jovović, PhD, the author of prestigious multimedia and interactive exhibitions with an international impact. The author of the narrative is prof. Aleksandar Petrović, PhD, an exceptional connoisseur of Milanković’s life and work, which he has been studying with for more than 50 years.
Novi Sad, as the European Capital of Culture, is unique for its ‘Doček’ platform, which marks the transition between the two calendar years through a multitude of events, which the whole city sees as a stage. The philosophy of this arch is unity in diversity, (co) life in duality – between two calendars, day and night, light and darkness, sound and image, past and future, tradition and modern technologies, which are connected by a single energy.
Thus, ‘Time and the Universe – Exhibition of Time’ represents the whole idea of ’Doček’ in one event, through innovative 3D mapping technology and analogue art elements in the form of sculptures and installations.
The event will be held in accordance with the applicable epidemiological measures, i.e. in accordance with the current Decree on measures for prevention and suppression of infectious disease COVID-19.
