Totalitarian terracotta

Totalitarian terracotta – The relationship between sculpture and social activism, by Vojin Ivkov, is open in Galeria 1 of Atelier 61 in the District, and will last until July 17.

Vojin Ivkov is known as an award-winning photographer (EU Award for the photo series “Faces of Crisis”, etc.) and the author of numerous documentaries in the field of social activism, social and human rights issues. With the installation Totalitarian terra cotta, we see him for the first time in the role of a sculptor-multimedia artist, since research into sculpture and the medium of photography is part of his new pursuits at the Specialist Studies of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad.

The installation of Totalitarian Terracotta problematizes the relationship between sculpture and social activism in relation to totalitarian regimes and society.

The event is finished.
