Translation and Publication of the ‘Noćna Projekcija’ (Night Projection) novel by Otto Horvat into English
The translation and publication of the ‘Noćna Projekcija’ (Night Projection) novel by Otto Horvat into English will be organized within the Kaleidoscope of Culture programme arch on 20 September at the Egyseg Cultural Station.
The novel deals with the origins, family secrets, the destiny faced with historical tasks. Its translation into English intends to make the history and culture of Novi Sad known to other language areas. Otto Horvat was born in 1967 in Novi Sad. He completed secondary school in Sremski Karlovci. He studied in Novi Sad, Erlangen and Berlin and currently lives and works in Florence.
Published poetry books: ‘Where The Forest Disappears’ (1987) – ‘Branko Radičević’ Prize, ‘Bitter Leaves’ (1990), ‘Clotting’ (1990), ‘Photographs’ (1996), ‘Stay Permit (2002), Travelling to Olmo (2008) – ‘Miroslav Antić’ Prize, ‘Selected and New Poems (2009); novel: ‘Sabo has stopped’ (2014) – ‘Biljana Jovanović’ Prize, ‘Mirko Kovač’ Prize and shortlist for the NIN Prize; a collection of stories: ‘As Celan’s Lovers’ (2016) – ‘Karol Sirmai’ Prize.
