Weaving workshop: Weaving school A61 | Kaleidoscope of Culture 2024
Kaleidoscope of Culture and Atelje 61 are introducing a weaving school during the Applied Arts Week on 6 and 7 September from 7 p.m.!
In order to revive and popularize traditional textile techniques, Atelje 61 established the ‘A61 Weaving School’ in 1997.
Over nearly three decades, dozens of participants have attended the ‘A61 Weaving School,’ where they had the opportunity to learn and master basic weaving techniques and work on horizontal looms and vertical frames, alongside their production team and master specialists in artistic weaving.
Organized on the principle of working in small groups during three-month theoretical and practical courses, the ‘A61 Weaving School’ has, since 2022, been located in one of the new buildings, the Radionica, situated in the District.
