Winds & DJ

The concert ‘Winds & DJ’ will take place in the City Concert Hall on 12 September, within the performing arts week of the Kaleidoscope of Culture.

The basic context of the concert is to introduce the audience to classical music, which will be presented in a slightly different way, in collaboration with the Novi Sad DJ Aleksandar Kor. One of the goals when planning this project was to turn cultural institutions to create content that could be interesting to a broad spectrum of audiences, to participate in the development and decentralisation of the audience, and to present new forms of expression.

The cooperation between the Novi Sad Wind Quintet, one of the most present and successful Novi Sad ensembles, and contemporary composers is hugely important.

Bassoon player Goran Marinković, the Novi Sad Wind Quintet member and the Bachelor of Music (Composition), will write the composition that will premiere at these three concerts. The composition was written for a wind quintet and a DJ for the project never seen before on the Novi Sad cultural scene, and this is what makes it unique.
