Youth Singer-Songwriter Festival 2022 / Concert of Marčelo

In partnership with the Culture Centre LAB, the Guitarists Association of Vojvodina organizes the ‘Youth Songwriting Festival 2022’, with the famous musician and writer Marko Šelić Marčelo and his band concert as its part.

The concert will take place in Dom kulture on 8 April.

Marko Šelić, better known as Marčelo, is a Serbian musician and writer. He released studio albums De facto (2003), Puzzle Shock! (2005), The Third Side of the Medal (2008) and Children and the Sun (2010), the novels Together Alone (2008), Malterego, book one: Rubik’s Chair (2012; amended edition 2016), Malterego, book two: Hygiene of Unremembered ( 2017), a collection of texts ‘About People, Dogs and Mice’ (2009), a hundred columns for various newsrooms and the Tense Show (2014), a conceptual work that combines the fifth studio album and a collection of columnist essays. He graduated from the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade, in the Department of the Serbian language and literature, and also, the Faculty of Pedagogical Sciences of the University of Kragujevac awarded him the honorary diploma of Master of Humanities for his pedagogical work and extraordinary contributions to the development of youth culture.

As part of the festival, the concert of the finalists, on 7 April will be held at the LAB Cultural Centre.
As part of the Youth Singer-Songwriter Festival, which will be implemented as part of the Future of Europe programme arch, fans of techno sound will be able to apply for workshops of DJing (masterclass), under the mentorship of Vladimir Aćić. The workshops will be held from 2 to 5 April at the Tunnel Club, while 1 April is reserved for a lecture on DJing and production by Miloš Martinov-Lag. After the workshops, three selected participants will have a public performance with Vladimir Aćić on 8 April at KC LAB.
