MILEVA / 23 MAY – 29 MAY
We will visualize a European life of a brave intellectual at the turn of the century through a conversation about an interesting book, an exciting interactive exhibition and a provocative theatre play. In the wider centre of Novi Sad, there is a recently renovated house where Mileva Marić and the world-famous physicist, Nobel Prize winner Albert Einstein, lived. There is also a building nearby where, as the memorial plaque testifies, they played the piano together. Behind this civic love story lies an exciting drama related to the role and place of women in Europe in the first decades of the 20th century. The drama shows that Mileva is our contemporary.
