Music Inspired by the Neolithic / A Neolithic Night’s Dream
On Thursday, 6 October, at 6 p.m. in the Museum of Vojvodina (35 Dunavska Street), as an accompanying programme of the ‘Neolithic Night’s Dream’ exhibition, the presentation ‘Music Inspired by the Neolithic’ will be implemented, through which archeology meets contemporary art and music.
The presentation will consist of three parts. In the first part, the author gives an insight into his research and fieldwork. Basic information from archeology and musical archaeology, will be supplemented by a presentation and workshop that will include the following segments: reconstruction of instruments, collection of sound objects, generating, sound editing and structuring of sounds, ‘reinterpretation’ of prehistoric sounds using analogue synthesizers and audio-reactive visuals.
Nikolić’s music has a special atmosphere, where prehistoric instruments ‘come to life’ in a modern context, as a result of persistent research and experimentation.
