Outdoor Exhibition / Comic Book City
An outdoor exhibition, as an accompanying part of the event within the Comic Book City, will open at District on 21 October, within the Other? Europe.
The exhibition is implemented by the members of ‘Led Art’ multimedia centre and ‘Grafička Mreža’ (Eng. Graphic Network), in cooperation with designer Milana Trifunjagić. The exhibition has two parts. The first part includes stage elements implemented in the architectural space of the Chinese Quarter, while the other part comprises interactive objects and digital applications, video animations and games.
A significant segment of the exhibition includes local artists, who created their visual characters/heroes exhibited in the art neighbourhood within the Comic Book City.
Artists:
Bojan Dojkić (1980), Zrenjanin
Bojan is a visual artist. He graduated from the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. He is the winner of several awards and prizes. He leads and organises the activity ‘Večernji akt’ (Eng. Evening Act) – a drawing workshop within the Shock Gallery (the former Art Clinic) and ‘Led Art’ multimedia centre. He lives and works in Novi Sad.
Vladimir Lalić (1983), Novi Sad
Vladimir graduated from the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, at the Department of Sculpture, while he received an MA degree in the same field in 2011. He has supported the Shock Gallery project (the former Art Clinic) by the ‘Led Art’ multimedia centre since 2004. He is a member of the SULUV Gallery. So far, he has implemented eight solo exhibitions and participated in over twenty joint exhibitions. He is currently engaged in researching his drawing capabilities, as well as the drawing abilities of pantographs. He lives and works in Novi Sad.
Stefan Ilić (1992), Loznica
Stefan graduated in Graphic Communications at the Department of Fine Arts of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, where he received his MA degree this year. He is employed as an expert associate at the Department of Graphic Design. He participated in over 40 joint exhibitions in Serbia and abroad.
Dušan Zaklan (1986), Novi Sad
Dušan graduated in Graphic Design at the Academy of Arts in 2010. He is employed as a graphic designer and illustrator. He lives in Novi Sad.
Milana Trifunjagić (1995), Zrenjanin
Milana lives and works in Novi Sad and deals with scenic design and illustration. She is the author of the ‘Crack and the City’ project. She draws inspiration from Eurotrash, the Balkan exotic and dark comedy.
