Sorceresses
The ‘Sorceresses’ concert, performed by the Music-Opera-Theatre Organisation from Belgrade, will be held on 21 May in the Egység Cultural Station within the Heroines project.
The ‘Sorceresses’ project presents the most significant Serbian women composers of the 20th and 21st century, well-known in the country and the world, such as Ljubica Marić, Ludmila Frajt i Isidora Žebeljan.
The concept of the programme is of distinct originality, but with the ever-present likeability and high artistic achievements of the authors who are very important for Serbian music and who have achieved exceptional world careers.
With this project, we are promoting the work of exceptional artists who marked the second half of the 20th century in Serbian art music and whose prominent personalities influenced their contemporaries. Their works oscillate within the range of neoclassicism to neo-expressionism.
