Àbáse / Flags of the Future
Àbáse will perform with Nu Jazz ensembles and DJs, who will present this innovative genre to the Novi Sad audience on 29 April on Stage 4 in the Creative District as part of the Flags of the Future programme unit. The genre merges musical styles (hip-hop, acid 1azz, jazztronica, deep house and broken beat) that all together result in NU Jazz. What characterises this innovative music genre is the non-standardisation of movements, absence of rules and intuitive movements.
Àbáse is a project based on a collaboration led by Szabolcs Bognár, a Hungarian keyboardist, producer, and a DJ, who currently lives in Berlin. His work includes jazz, soul, hip-hop, Afrobeat, and electronic genres such as house, breakbeat to West African, Afro-Brazilian music and contemporary MPB (Musica Popular Brasileira). Àbáse ‘s composition and style of performance focus on the intertwining of live improvisation and modern production techniques.
On the second day of the Flags of the Future festival, in addition to Àbáse, the audience will also get a chance to see Tommaso Garofalo known as Turbojazz, and Frontline Vibers led by Žolt Arđelan.
The ‘Flags of the Future’ programme is sponsored by: IDEA, DDOR, and A1 Srbija.
