Female Artists in the 20th Century – Panel Discussion / Heroines of the Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection
As part of the ‘Heroines of the Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection’ project, there will be a panel discussion on the topic ‘Female Artists in the 20th Century: Status and Representation in Art Collections’, in the Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection on 26 May at 6 p.m.
Discussion participants: Prof. Lovorka Magaš Bilandžić, PhD, Nataša Ivančević (Croatia), Prof. Sarita Vujković, PhD (BiH), Asst. Prof. Nikola Krstović, PhD, and Zoran Erić, PhD (Serbia)
Moderator: Valentina Vuković, PhD
Eminent researchers, historians and art theorists, university professors and museum experts from the country and the region will present their views on the issue of women’s creativity based on rich professional experience and notable results in the international arena. After the presentation of selected examples, with special emphasis on the position and evaluation of women artists in society during the 20th century and their representation in museum collections, the discussion will be concluded with mapping the Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection in an international context. The audience will be invited to participate in the conversation.
The multimedia exhibition ‘Heroines of the Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection’, which is part of the Heroines programme arch, will be on display between 20 May and 15 July in the Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection.
