The masterclass with the Japanese director Masato Ozawa will be held as part of the Other? Europe film programme in the Cultural Centre of Novi Sadon 10 November.

Ozawa’s last feature film ‘The Lost Serenade’ was nominated in international competition at the Warsaw Film Festival in 2016. His second feature film, ‘Remiges’ won the Best Film Award at the Jeonju International Film Festival in 2013. His first feature film ‘A Warm Ray of Light’ was selected at the Shanghai International Film Festival in 2011. Ozawa continues to portray compelling social issues such as child abuse, the dysfunctional family and homeless youth as the focus of his work.
Contribution in the search for different within the Other? Europe programme arch brings the ‘Japanese Serbian Film Festival’ based on the cultural exchange between Japan and Serbia through a specific model of programming, learning and practice. In the European Capital of Culture title year, guest appearances by famous Japanese actors and directors will be implemented in Novi Sad as part of the festival.
The Japanese Serbian Film Festival will be held in the Cultural Centre of Novi Sad and the District from 9 to 13 November.
The audience can expect four groups of activities that are thematically divided: sound (multimedia exhibition), sight (film programme), body (performance), mind (panel, workshop, masterclass).
