Pearl tiaras KEY by Johan Nikadimus | Kaleidoscope of Culture 2024

As part of the Applied Arts Week of the Kaleidoscope of Culture, from September 6th to 11th at the Radionica venue in the District, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy the exhibition of pearl tiaras titled KEY by J. Nikadimus. This unique exhibition of traditional Russian tiaras features the work of Johann Nikadimus, one of the most prominent Russian applied artists who has exhibited at Cartier shows. The exhibition is open every day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Johann Nikadimus began his artistic career in 2014, focusing on the reconstruction of traditional Russian head accessories adorned with pearls. His first collection of original tiaras, presented under the brand KEY, was released in 2021. Inspired by Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles, this collection employs pearl embroidery techniques.

The KEY pearl tiaras are not only fashion accessories for special occasions and weddings but also artistic pieces that adorn interiors and become collectible jewels. The brand name KEY symbolizes opening doors to a magical world of celebrations and joy.

Although Johann Nikadimus has no formal artistic education, he discovered his passion through exploring folklore and tradition. His work is recognized across Russia and the world, including collaborations with artists such as Božo Vrećo and exhibitions in prestigious museums and galleries.

At the Kaleidoscope of Culture, Johann will present the new KEY4 tiara collection, along with works by photographer Marina Vasilevska, which will complement the exhibition. Additionally, visitors will enjoy a unique soundtrack specially composed by Maxim Westphalen, as well as film projections and fashion creations by Johann’s designer friends.

At the opening of the exhibition, on September 6th and 7th, the special guest will be harpist Tanya Sycheva. Tanya has been playing the harp for around 15 years and is a master of improvisation, combining music and therapy to create healing melodies. Her performance will immerse visitors in an atmosphere of mysticism and magic, and her performance will be part of the soundtrack created by Maxim Westphalen specifically for this event.

Entrance is free.

Kaleidoscope of Culture, as the most significant regional art festival and the best European trend brand, brings together global stars, renowned Serbian artists, emerging creators, and the local and national scene for the seventh time.
