Theatre Programme / Vila
During the theatre programme of the ‘Vila’ festival, we will see children’s play, musical, dance play and drama, in the fairy-tale ambience of Fruška Gora in Vrdnik on 4 and 5 June.
The musical ‘Theory of Relativity’ performed by the dance group Viva Dance Academy will be played on 4 June at 4:30 p.m. We will have a real treat watching the musical, since with beautiful costumes and attractive choreography we will have a chance to see more than 40 young dancers from Viva Dance Academy, as well as their special guest dancers from Novi Sad.
The children’s play ‘Guardians of the Dragon’s Treasure’ will be played on 4 June at 6 p.m. It is suitable for children aged 6 to 11, but with the support of parents, younger children will surely enjoy it as well. The dragon generously shares its treasure with children, but in order to preserve it, children need to know the answers to many questions.
The dance performance ‘Živka Sirinićka Got Married’ will be held on 4 June at 9 p.m. The play is designed to show the position of a woman in the early twentieth century and the story of unfortunate romance, which is sung in the traditional song ‘Živka Sirinićka Got Married’, through a script that combines traditional dances, contemporary movement, stage fights, song and dramatization, with arranged, composed music. The play is dedicated to women, heroines of the patriarchal time.
We will be able to see the theatre play ‘Dust’, based on the play by György Spiró, one of the most famous contemporary Hungarian writers, and adapted and directed by Veljko Mićunović, on 5 June at 9 p.m. This tragicomedy is about a family living on the edge of poverty. Well-known acting tandem Nataša Ninković and Zoran Cvijanović will show a middle-aged married couple who live modestly, until the moment when the husband wins the lottery prize – over two million.
