Prof. Pavica Mrazović, PhD – Life and Work

Opening of the exhibition ‘Prof. Pavica Mrazović, PhD – Life and Work’ will be held on 27 May at 6.30 p.m. at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad.

The life’s journey of the prominent scientist Pavica Mrazović was truly inspiring. It led her from a teacher in the Banat village of Knićanin to a professor at the Department of German Studies at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad, where she was awarded the Goethe Medal in 1987, while just a few years later (in 1992), she became the laureate of the Order of Merit awarded by the Federal Republic of Germany.

The exhibition and promotion of the publication ‘Pavica Mrazović: A Wife, a Mother and a Scientist’ are a tribute to her character and work, and one of the reasons for the realization of this project was the circumstance that in 2023, we are approaching a jubilee of sorts – one hundred years since her birth.
