Love and Fashion – Author’s Guided Tour and a Tale of Yugoslav Fashion Heritage / The Partisan and Fragonard. Collection of Jovanka Broz

An interesting discussion about fashion awaits you at the author’s guided tour of the exhibition ‘The Partisan and Fragonard. Collection of Jovanka Broz’ in the Matica Gallery, on Friday, 27 May at 7 p.m, organised as part of the Heroines programme arch.

Throughout the weekend, you will have the chance to visit the small fashion show ‘Inspired by Jovanka Broz’, as part of ‘The Partisan and Fragonard’ exhibition. This fashion line was created in collaboration with several domestic designers – ZAGA, MATES, Nataša Filipović, and Evica Milovanov Penezić. With the idea of ​​reviving the Yugoslav fashion heritage, they created T-shirts, shirts, dresses, hoodies, buckles, and gloves.

Through a conversation between the author of the exhibition Nikola Ivanović and fashion designers Zaga KalMar (ZAGA), Saša Stević, and Marko Ilijev (MATES), visitors will learn more about the exhibition and fashion inspiration of the 1960s and 1970s, and, above all, the ‘first lady’ of socialist Yugoslavia – Jovanka Broz.
